Time goes so fast....
It's hard to believe that over 2 months has passed since my last post. Life moves so quickly, especially now that a 3rd babe is added to the mix. Here's a quick update of some projects I finished up in December. Mushie Face got a Waldorf doll for her 2nd birthday in November.
I finished up our Advent calendar *just in time*. The pockets along the bottom have little wool felt ornaments in them that hang on the snowflake buttons on the tree. The tree is green babywhale corduroy quilted to the 2 layers of snowflake flannel, which has a layer of wool batting between them. The pockets are rows ofwide whale cranberry corduroy with appliqued numbers on each pocket.
And here are the Waldorf teething dolls I made for SnugBug and my neice, T, who is 2 weeks older than SnugBug. The left one is SnugBug's and the pink floral is T's. SungBug's body and hat are organic cotton "Alphabet Soup"; T's is pink floral flannel. Their heads are high quality Dutch tricot stuffed with humanely raised wool batting. They each hold a hard wood teething ring that's been sanded smooth and oiled with a non-toxic beeswax polish. I'm anxiously waiting for the day that SnugBug can actually hold and use his baby :)
